When Michael & I were meeting the crew at First In Fragrance in Germany. Beate and the crew (Shane, Sabine, Margit, Katharina) were so amazing that they wanted to do something special for the Australian Perfume Junkies blog. I was saying “No No No, You’ve done so much, Been too generous already”  but Beate decided that she was going to gift me with €165 worth of Colonia Intensa Oud by Acqua di Parma to use as a giveaway when we next did something exciting at APJ. It doesn’t get much more exciting than 300,000 views.

Also, did you know that First In Fragrance sample is around 3-4ml and comes in a spray atomiser? They are very reasonable priced and send to the world. Go check their stuff.

    • Hey einsof,
Punishing? No. This is about better reach, more involvement and the growth of the APJ family (hopefully)

The reason we are trying to build the Facebook page following is so we have better Brand Power so we can meet more fabulous perfumers, house CEOs, curators and shopkeepers so we can bring you better content. It will also help us get bigger and better giveaways.

On top of that, it’s a great way to get a bit interactive in a new way and it will give you some FB only updates.

We do understand you not being on FB though, it isn’t for everyone.

This is a trial for us. We were wondering….
      Portia xx

      • you know, here’s the thing about jackson pollock: it’s all about perspective.

you are absolutely correct and on target; of course you want more exposure and to build the weight of your wonderful world here. i, myself, would be delighted to tell every listening ear and i already enjoy every post as if i were sneaking macaroons on a diet or perhaps a young girl who is passing notes about boys & bras with her friends!

you’re very wise in your use of social media and it’s power and reach of communication!

the other perspective is i am oddly private for such an outgoing person and was wanting to win a contest.

        😉

i am thankful you (and all my dear friends who really want me to have a book of face page or become a twit) have made me, again, think about my knee jerking. i’m honestly enjoying your bigger perspective and miss portia, et al, i am thrilled to find a perfume perspective which is fun and informative, not exclusive and dismissive.

i can’t wait to see where you steer us next- into greater & greater perfumed art discussions, interactions & informations. (ok, well, i wanted it to sound poetic, dammit.)
