DIOR Addict 2014 Ad Campaign + Review

Heya Fragrance and Visual art lovers,

Sometimes the advertisements are even more iconic than the scents. Did I just write sometimes? Anyway, here is a fabulous set up: Russian catwalk model Sasha Luss, photographed by Ryan McGinley for Christain DIOR. I grabbed this from one of my favourite fashion online mags: art8amby.

Fragrantica gives these featured accords:
Top: Mandarin leaves, mulberry flowers
Heart: Night queen flower, Bulgarian rose, orange flower
Base: Bourbon vanilla, sandal wood, Tonka bean

Victoria at Bois et Jasmin sums DIOR Addict up perfectly: While my relationship with Addict is ridden with ambivalence at best, I would rather be intrigued by a fragrance than bored.

Did you run away screaming, roll your eyes or move in for a closer sniff? Have you walked past again and again over the last 12 years? Aren’t you the least bit curious?

Beautiful photographs, but this is one frag I can’t stand! It’s one of those ones that’s almost impossible to scrub off too, I only tried it for the first time a couple of months ago after a SA said it was her favourite!

Oh dear!! It’s ALWAYS the way. The fragrance you hate lasts eternally.

  2. I found a couple of near-empty bottles of Addict at a market once. I picked them up, but I can’t find anybody who wants them. It seems to be a very polarising fragrance

Greg, I have only smelled it once. Do you still have those bottles? Are they smelling like they should?

  3. I don’t understand how she could move from having her boobs (pardon my language) covered in one photo to having them unrestrained in the next. I rolled my eyes, but the list of notes sounds nice though. Will give this a sniff next time I pass by it.

Ha Ha ha! It’s spring in Versailles, that’s what happens. That’s why I prefer it in winter.

It’s true I’d rather not be bored by a fragrance, but how much can you take? at any given time is the question.
    Topless in Versailles she’s addicted!

He He he! She is DEFINITELY Addicted.
I am going to have to spend some time with Addict. Back to the mall I will go.
