  7. Fun! I follow APJ via email. Since I drink tea every day, I perused Mandy’s perfumed teas, and I’d pick Rose Ginger Oolong first (although they all sound delicious). Mandy Aftel gets so much reverence from perfume lovers, I am eager to try her fragrances. Thanks for the drawing! Love, Your Devoted Stink Monkey.

      • I love orange blossom/neroli, gardenia, and incense. However, I would just love to be part of the process and see what would develop. It would be worth the money (if I had it!) just to be part of the development process and work with Mandy to see how she creates her perfumes. What a great experience and what a wonderful momento – a personalized scent!

  20. Wow, a great draw!! I’ve been a huge fan of Mandy’s perfumes and natural perfumery in general for quite some time and love that this niche sector of the perfumery industry is starting to really take off in Australia!!

I can’t wait to try Mandy’s new Wild Roses and Oud Luban Extrait perfumes. But I have to say of all of Mandy’s perfumes I’ve sampled thus far (and I’ve loved them all), Parfum Privé is definitely my favourite. I think its the Osmanthus that gets me :).

    • Arrgh it seems all my choices have already been noted! LOL. Being a novice natural perfumer, something I’ve wanted to purchase from Aftelier to try in my concoctions is the Indole 2% (natural isolate). 🙂

  22. I haven’t tried anything from Aftelier before but I’m so into chocolate notes now, I had want to say Cacao but I think it’s been mentioned. So I’ll say Cocoa Chef’s Essence. I wonder if I can dab it on me instead of cooking it! Must definitely get some samples soon! Thank you for the draw Portia!

  25. I follow Oz Perfume Junkies on Twitter and I just added you to my Google Reader RSS feed as well. I also tweeted about the giveaway through my account: @breathesgelatin.

There are many Aftelier things I want to try, and many have already been named. But if I have to pick something no one else has mentioned, I have really been wanting to try her face oils. All of the face oils sound divine but maybe the one I want to try most is Jasmine, Geranium & Ylang Ylang. 🙂

  27. P – You are the best…I have heard nothing but great things about Mandy’s work so this is a real treat. You know that I follow as you’re my favorite gal. I always have been curious about the solid perfumes so I’ll mention Parfum Privé Solid. I don’t think that anyone has said that, but as I’m late to the game, my eyes were crossing by paging down because you have so many followers!

  29. I’ve heard so much about Mandy Aftel and Aftelier perfumes, all of it was in the form of adulation. I’m convinced, and I’m hoping if not now, sometime to score a bottle of wild roses. Its just a bit expensive for me to act on this immediately. In the interest of trying to name a perfume not already commented on I have to say the silver flask of Shiso sounds elegant and refined though honestly I am not familiar with shiso leaf. But something about the word shiso and the form of the flask work beautifully together.

I follow you on email. Thank you for making this happen.

  30. Hi Portia,
Since the Ancient Resins Body Oil and Hair Elixir (so very Leonard Cohen) has already been mentioned, I’ll select from the Chef’s Essences. I’ve read some great foodie reviews of them and am particularly interested in the Cepes, described as earthy, wet moss, intense, delicious. I’m thinking it might be a simple way to add a touch of umami.

    I happily follow by e-mail.

Thanks for the generous draw opportunity.

I’m in a holiday mood so I’ll say Fir Needle Chef’s Essence.
