Here is the thing that almost NONE of us have been waiting for. Yes, Gucci is releasing an Oudh fragrance. It’s being sold as a Gucci by Gucci flanker. My fingers are crossed, maybe it will surprise us all. To be fair I always get people sniffing about and asking when I wear GUCCI Guilty and even GUCCI Envy Me II is nice.   1. This made me giggle a bit. I’m guilty of liking the original Gucci by Gucci. Don’t think I will go out of my way to find this one though. Pretty sure the DH thinks I have plenty of perfume.

    • Fingers crossed it is a goodie. I love pear and raspberry can be good if handled deftly for me. Fruit notes are becoming more appealing to me over time. Damn you Bombay Bling for being my fruit gateway.

    Your “extremely moderate” sounds like my (and my older students’) favored tempo, “molto moderato”. I agree with Lanier Smith that this Gucci may be too sweet, super dolcissimo, on top of the oud! Scary Raspberry! But who knows? When you try it will you write a review?

  6. A fruity oud? I suppose it’s been done already, but I haven’t seen one. I’ll give it a sniff out of curiosity. Video ad is nice.

      I like the ad too, very interesting and pretty. Yes, there are a few Montale fruit oudhs and if you go onto the Arabic oil sites they are almost as popular as the rose oudh combos.
