Cedrat by L`Occitane en Provence 2015
Fragrantica gives these featured accords:
Top: Citrus notess, cedrat bark, bergamot
Heart: Nutmeg, blue ginger
Base: Cedar, cashmere wood
You may know I’m partial to a bath. Cedrat Shower Gel is one of my go-to bath time bubble and cleansing gels. I was sent one bottle when it was released, bought and used a second and now am going to grab myself a third bottle (only $29/250ml at L’Occitane Australia). The scent is beautiful, it foams excellently, leaves my skin soft and with the merest hint of fresh citrus zing. Perfect as a base because so many fragrances contain a citrus element. I have also used one of the soaps and loved it too.
Cedrat gives me a very fresh burst of citrus and a little of the cedar from my bathing. The EdT is a lot more nuanced and has a lovely spicy woods kick that smells very cologne-ish but lasts longer. A lovely vibrant, energised fragrance that I could imagine becoming a go-to daily scent for work and play. After a couple of hours the citrus has burned off leaving a crisp smoky wood that is a bit like pencil shavings but a little creamier.

You know, I’ve always wondered what citrons taste/smell like. This is silly, because they’re in season right now and if I had braved the crowds, I could’ve picked one up at the market to try it out, but they’re so weird that I didn’t have the courage to do so. So thanks for this draw!
I follow by e-mail. Currently, my most energizing scent is Yves Rocher Fraise Mara des Bois, but that’s partly because I store it in the fridge (the Internet tells me it’s not the most stable of scents). I’m not sure I have too many really energizing scents!

O de Lancôme, most of the Atelier Colognes, Azemour les Orangers, Eau de Colognes, the occasional girly fruity floral or floral aquatic such as Ineke’s Scarlet Larkspur and Acqua di Gio. Apparently I’m in the mood for citrus and breezy stuff because it’s hot here.

Definitely anything peppermint! It’s one of the most invigorating, energizing scents for me. There’s a reason why all of my body washes are peppermint – it’s the only thing that actually wakes me up! 🙂 Following via email.

A fragrance that absolutely energizes me is the Lemon Verbena from L’Occitane. I use the deodorant and it’s just such a gorgeous pick-me-up before a workout. I follow through email.

This sounds amazing! I have not tried Cedrat, but I love L’Occitane soaps. My top refreshing favorites are Mugler Cologne and O de Lancome, but that’s only the to two. I follow by email. Thank you!

Oohh there are a few actually.. Especially in summer or if I’ve feeling a bit hum ho in the morning, I want something to energise me. I love Byredo Mister Marvelous and Byredo Sunday Colonge, it’s fresh but mister Marvelous has that cedar base and Sunday cologne has the vetiver and oakmoss .. But I find them both refreshing and energising. Also, D&G light blue.. A classic and that citrusy cedar scent is great. I realize I’m on a pattern here with citrus and cedar lol! Surprisingly I haven’t tried Cedrat! I’m curious to try it now.

The fragrance that energizes me are vintage versions of eau sauvage and acqua di gio..they have some cooling effects which are missing in modern renditions. I follow APJ by email

Hi gorgeous.
Had a busy week and just noticed I missed most of this generous giveaway week. C’est la vie.
I tried Cedrat and I like it a lot. I tried to think of fragrances that energise me but I really couldn’t think of any. I generally find most colognes as refreshing but not necessarily energising. I will have to go with mandarin, peppermint and eucalyptus EO.

Energy. Hmm. I try to find fragrances that soothe me. I guess anything citrus energizes me, which may be why I don’t really wear them.
