Hi APJ,
I see these SOTD (Scent Of The Day) threads all the time on Facebook and they are really good conversation generators.
SOTD 12 February – 18 February 2018
The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc.
You probably won’t have time to write every scent, every spritz but whenever you feel the mood take you share your current spritz and a few things about it. Maybe you love/loathe it, want it, are excited by the notes/bottle/SA who sold it: WHATEVER! As always here at APJ, taking sides never means taking offence and everyone keeps it respectful and light, even though we can sometimes trawl the depths.
Hopefully you will come back and see if anyone has responded to your comment and you can reply to them.
Over 100 responses I will draw a Scent Sample Pack (from my collection)
This week:
- Neela Vermeire Creations Mohur EdP
- Parfum d’Empire Fougere Bengale
- L’Artisan Seville a l’Aube
- Lolita Lempicka EdP
- Rouge d’Hermès
Comment purposefully on yours or anothers comment & you’ll have a chance, random.org will draw on Sunday.
Last Weeks WINNER: Cassieflower

Testing Lace Garden (Teo Cabanel)…to my memory this smells EXACTLY like vintage Coty’s Sand and Sables…..an inexpensive drugstore masterpiece…wore it to death in the early 90s….which goes to show that inexpensive beauties can indeed compete with niche and luxury brands 🙂
Hope everyone has/had a good Monday!

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Cassieflower. You’re the Winner this week.!! I thought of you yesterday when I looked at my Stash bottles..lol.
Anyway ,yesterday , Monday, I woke and there were still very slight traces left on my hand from Thelma’s Bal A Versailles. Monday Sloth Day had arrived again, so I decided it was also a great day to do some sampling. Four scents were given a workout.
They were; 31 Rue Cambon by Chanel
; Bodhi by Teone Reinthal
; L’ether by IUNX
; Paloma by Rance
And the scrubber/s were; The Chanel and Rance scents, the Teone goes onto the “wouldn’t mind” and the L’Ether to the ‘use it up but not bottle worthy list’
Tuesday has arrived, and it is nearly 9am, so time to get off my big fat cohuna and get ready for the day. The Commonwealth Games Baton is coming through Ballarat today ,so thought I’d take a gander. Have an enjoyable Tuesday ,all.

Oh, how beautiful! No need to try the new one. Yesterday: SL Fourreau Noir, for easy, non-distraction. I love the balance of this on me, with the harder edges and the pillowy depths of the tonka.
Tuesday: In the evening, Le Mat, the Mendittorosa/Talisman’s warm and spicy immortelle-rose-patchouli-nutmeggy goodness, just what I needed after a brutal migraine.
Monday: Bapteme du Feu. Orange peel and gunpowder and cloves (and, unusually for me, I got a good slice of ginger in the first hour.) This scent horrifies one of my colleagues, who can’t understand why I’d want to wear anything that wasn’t “fresh” or flowery.

Am listening to You Go To My Head on repeat and trying new frags by Libertin Louison Technique Indiscrete that a friend had sent to me.

Switched to a little No.19 to help me be a focused grown up, sitting down at my desk and churning through some more research data. When I’d rather be mucking about.
I also ate my greens.

Isn’t adulating sometimes very difficult, and frustrating, Crikey? Set some time later today, for mucking about.

Another night with little sleep.. Hubby and I were both restless and having bad dreams. I’m a grumpy Saffy this morning, but I have to snap out of it because I have to work this arvo… Used Green Tea shower gel, unfragranced sorbolene cream as a base for copious squirts of Shalimar.

Isn’t Le Chasse gorgeous…. thinking I might have to purchase a couple back ups.
I’m thinking you need some Spring to spring at the Marzipan house.

Orangers en fleurs Houbigant. I’m thinking of ordering it as a birthday gift to myself next month, although not entirely sure.

I wore BV Knot on Friday and found it lasted a short time only in the cold. So followed up with that light Voile d’ambre from Y. Rocher. It has been my EBP in the office for a while. Saturday was actually more or less scentless, while today I’m in Seville à l’aube. It is relaxing and stands up to the cold weather, so I am really fragrant.

Yesterday we went to a wedding. I was a waft of beguiling fleurs d’oranger on a perfect Canberra day.
Then later in the evening, slipped into comfy jammies and lavendar oil.
