Hi APJ,
A SOTD (Scent Of The Day) thread is a really good conversation generator. The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc. and how it makes you feel and/or anything else about it that tickles your fancy.
You can also comment on everyone else choices too. It’s great to tell someone how much you love their choice, ask for more info about it, the house or perfumer. There’s someone here from around the world 24/7 and perfume people love to chat.
SOTD 5.8 – 11.8.2019
You probably won’t have time to write every scent, every spritz but whenever you feel the mood take you share your current spritz and a few things about it. Maybe you love/loathe it, want it, are excited by the notes/bottle/SA who sold it: WHATEVER! As always here at APJ, taking sides never means taking offence and everyone keeps it respectful and light, even though we can sometimes trawl the depths.
Hopefully you will come back and see if anyone has responded to your comment and you can reply to them.
Go To It Crew.

Happy Monday everybody. I had a Mugler weekend as I was hopping around the country. A quick pit stop at home to empty and repack the bag and we’re off on the road again. Fun times with family and friends. The next couple of days will be Frederic Malle, today it’s Parfum de Therese.

Therese. One of my favourite perfumes ever. I am nearly out of mine and hoping an old bottle will come my way by magic – and I keep a look out. I really want it. In fact the only perfume up until now I would actually like to replace. ☺️

My bottle is a newer formulation and it’s slightly different to the one I had before. I have another travel spray on the way, I was shopping from the comfort of my bed on Friday night😉

Aha!! So that would be your answer to Saturday’s question had it not been 20th century….. although the original custom scent was indeed made in that century, right?

Not really. I would not wanna stock pile it, as I see that as buying stuff when what you have is not empty.
I would absolutely like to replace it, but no matter if I donˋt. Stockpiling weed, hair wax, and lipgloss ……. that is a different matter. 😀

vintage Samsara today. Yesterday it was vintage Coco and it lasted for more than 24 hours with 2-3 sprays, well until I took a shower today. I feared Coco would have huge projection but thankfully that did not seem the case though it does last a long time. Maybe the key to wear vintage perfumes with reputation of being loud is to go easy on sprays.

Just sniffed one of those scented papers you’re supposed to rub on your hand to get an idea of a new perfume. This was Cuir de Nuit from Y.Rocher. Seemed to be a lot about vanilla and possibly only a hint of leather. Not ordering anything now, so no free miniature bottle for me!
Have been without perfume during my hour of exercise today and some housework, now will put on some jasmine or amber perfume before bed.

Getting shockwave therapy on a painful knee is what I have to pay for myself now, otherwise I have paid so many medical fees this year that basics will be free for the rest of the year. But really, wish it was easier to get appointments in the late afternoon, I’m trying to get normal work done at least three days a week and it takes some planning.
