Hi APJ,

A SOTD (Scent Of The Day) thread is a really good conversation generator. The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc. and how it makes you feel and/or anything else about it that tickles your fancy.

You can also comment on everyone else choices too. It’s great to tell someone how much you love their choice, ask for more info about it, the house or perfumer. There’s someone here from around the world 24/7 and perfume people love to chat.

SOTD 9.12 – 15.12.2019

You probably won’t have time to write every scent, every spritz but whenever you feel the mood take you share your current spritz and a few things about it. Maybe you love/loathe it, want it, are excited by the notes/bottle/SA who sold it: WHATEVER! As always here at APJ, taking sides never means taking offence and everyone keeps it respectful and light, even though we can sometimes trawl the depths.

  7. Vanille Fatale. The weird weather we had last winter seems to be repeating itself. Early November snow dump of 20cm. Now, when it should be snowing we have two days of rain. It looks like that manic overactive toddler has got his sticky fingers on the weather machine again.

  12. I might go with Shalimar again today. Would you believe that one dab of the EDC on my wrist lasted all day on my scent devouring skin? I could still smell it when I went to bed.
    I might also wear Pure Eve on a different body part. That one is sooo good too! Almond yumminess.

    • 😂😂🤣 I think it’s hilarious!! it reminds me of a similarly themed birthday card Mr LH recieved from one of his hockey buddies this year. I was cackling like an asylum escapee especially because LH was less than amused 😂😂 I think he was actually offended!!!! HA HA HA 🤣🤣🤣

  15. After reading Cassie’s comment I am now in a very jovial mood. Still chuckling to myself. Helène (my assistant) is looking at me like I’ve finally gone over the edge which is making me laugh even harder 😂
    Wearing Dulcis in Fundo which nobody can ever smell 😒 It wears very close to the skin. Maybe because of a high percentage of oils? And less alcohol? It leaves an oily patch on my skin which does not evaporate. It’s almost like spraying on a body oil!

  20. Monday was just so freaking hot. I continued with the citrus, pulling out one of my summer faves: Monsieur Balmain. What a lemon bomb this is; it does exactly what the packaging looks like it will do.

    I was in such a rush Tuesday morning, I forgot to put on anything. I smelled nice anyway, having showered and shampooed in Aesop’s Geranium.

    Still warm today, so I have gone for Rochas Moustache EDT Concentree. Also a lemon fragrance, but a bit dirtier, as you’d expect in a Roudnistska concoction.

    • I went to the work Xmas party last night …. and left early ! I was bored silly and there was NO FESTIVE spirit at all. The lady who organised it paid for a band. They were a great tight group but didn’t sing ANY Christmas themed songs. There were no non bond And sadly most people didn’t like the food I smelt good in Cabochard . Today I am going to a festive lunch and dinner with separate groups. Today I have sprayed my self silly with 4711 Remix

  21. vintage tabarome came today. Seller tried his best at packaging but as is usually the case with creed flacons, 5% leaked. Its still much better situation than what usually happens with creed flacon leaks. Not wearing it but keep smelling the packing paper soaked in it to get an idea. It seems to me that vintage tabarome is done in the spanish leather style. So far, I am not convinced this fragrance merits the prices it goes for. In my case, I got a very good deal so purchase price is more than just recoverable should I sell it.

  27. No sense of smell since Sunday, so haven’t even made decants for friends like I planned. It’s supposed to be a virus, but my sinuses are hurting the way they do when it’s bacterial, so we will see. I enjoy reading what you all write, but won’t be commenting much this week.

    • I have been reunited with my babies!!!!!! My friend who was babysitting most of my collection visited on Wednesday evening . She returned my perfumes and gave me the most splendid housewarming present! It is a framed poster of a perfume advertisement! Oops yes! Nearly forgo t… my scent for Friday work will be announced later!

    • Sunday morning and I have survived my midnight shifts again! I am preparing for a very busy hectic week! On Monday morning and all day Wednesday I am wrapping for the Salvos at my local shopping centre.. This will be my 4 th year. And on Tuesday I am shopping with a friend . She is hopelessly disorganised and has 3 children to buy Santa gifts for!!! Anyway I digress! Perfume wise on Sunday I am going to wear Soul again. I am feeling rather depressed today so I’m trying to cheer myself
