Hey there FUMIES!

My mate Nick from Libertine Parfumerie is a lovely guy who wants to have the best range of niche fragrances for Aussies to choose from. A short while ago I was in his warehouse and he handed me one of the Amouage Room Sprays. WOW! Definitely special enough to be fine fragrance, probably not IFRA compliant. SO GOOD!

Opening bright sparkly citrus Love quickly hits its stride with deep patchouli woods, dark oud and a sweet resinous rose. I can’t place the green herbaceousness but it could be mint and coriander, there is also a dry hay bale in a barn feel. I have worn Amouage Love as a fragrance too, it sinks into my skin beautifully creating a sheer wall of spice market in a forest. When Love burns down its vanilla/patchouli/oud/woods base is still lovely, especially when melded with my skin chemistry.

Trouble is Jin doesn’t like something in the base, it irritates him. My loss is your gain.

    I have coveted the candles in the past though.
    My favourite Amouage is Epic Woman, I seem to relate to the older scents and have not liked the Journeys or Sunshine.

  8. I haven’t tested many so far, but I really love Opus VII. It’s on my wishlist, but pretty far down due to the demanding nature of the frag (and its demanding price!)

    I love Amouage Homage Attar. I love its dazzling, smoky, rosy beauty. and another reason I love it is because I once won a gorgeous little bottle of it. I enjoy using that long, pointy stopper to apply precise little dots of it, and revel in the scent for hours.

    Whoah! A room spray! My favorite Amouge is Interlude Man. I think it is the oregano in the opening that draws me into the rest of this beautiful fragrance. Interlude Man has enormous sillage that will last literally for days, no matter where you put it! More favorites from Amouge include Ubar and Memoir Woman. I follow by e-mail and bloglovin.     I love Opus 2 & wear it on special occasions only. It’s very woody (pretty much Iso E Super detected), spicy with creamy lavender & a hint of minty wormwood. Feels like walking in Elvens’ forests in spring.

  26. Amouage is quickly becoming one of my favorite perfume houses. So many great ones in their roster. The one I love the most is probably Epic Woman. It’s so big and rich but still has a transparency that makes it feel modern.

    Wow, it looks so opulent, and it would be my first room spray! Fun!

    I haven’t actually tried it yet, but I love amouage Sunshine from the look of it, that bright cheery yellow and the notes look amazing!!
    Amouage is one brand that’s very hard to come around in Sweden, unfortunately 😦

    Jubilation XXV and Opus VI are my favorites– Opus VI is a bright sunny amber bomb, spicy and warm. I have a decant of XXV which is kind of silvery musk-frankincense and purple deep fruits and it’s all very smooth.

    I recently seen these at Libertine… I thought they were new Amouage perfumes to start off. Silly me.
    The Amouage fragrances I love are Interlude Man and the two Jubilations. Jubilation 25 is part old school, part raunchy and just gorgeous. Jubilation XXV and Interlude Man are 2 fabulous examples of incense fragrances.
