Up, out and double Aquarobics classes. LOVE being in the water and moving.

Home, walked Momo, hit the computer. Jin is out playing golf with his buddy Vince.

Obvious Parfums Un Été

When Jin came home we had some running around to do. Jin for his International Drivers License. Lunch at a Middle eastern Restaurant chain we love Jasmin. Post office to pick up Sparkling red wine. MMMM

Home. Nap time.

Jin wanted Caesar Salad tonight and brought home the ingredients we didn’t already have. It was OK. Then we watched some of Bill Bailey in South Korea. He’s hilarious and he was in Busan the same time we were.

Jin went to bed. I’m still writing Trivia Q&A.

OK! I think Miranda fixed something and now I’m coming back to retro fit events. It’s early a.m. Friday.

I’m not well. Throat infection. Went to work with a mask on. Doctor gave me antibiotics. Not really coughing but am feeling muddled and softly wretched.

Lazed with Momo on the couch watching more Unforgotten

Had to zip out to the Post Office (Asiatic Lily Bulbs) and a postcard from my mate Jane.

Also hit Target and UniQlo to pick up stuff. While in Westfield’s I popped back into DIOR Beauty and did a full quad spritz on each arm of modern and just retired Eau Fraiche. I stand by my pillowy call on the old but there’s also an interesting mineral zing through it. The newer Captain Kurk version is much more floral. It’s just past midnight and I can still smell that Petitgrain/Orange Blossom fleshiness. The most recently retired one has become a soft focus skin scent only slightly better than my own smell.

It was Annual Strata AGM Meeting night in our apartment block. I am still not well enough to be in company so Jin went. it was a rowdy affair with the booze flowing and loads of laughter. They voted me in as President that does nothing except be here to deal with trades and dramas in the daytime. Cool! That’s what I do anyway.

While they were all having a rip roaring time I fled to the garden and started planting my Asiatic Lily bulbs. I miscalculated how many I ordered. It was ten mixed for such an affordable price because it’s the end of season. HA! Nope, it was ten bags of three bulbs. GAH! I’m so dumb. So there will be a swathe of lilies, hopefully.

Afterwards the daughter of our friend Gisella got a flat tyre so we all went out to shout encouragement and mock. Jin ended up doing nearly all the work (of course) but he did show the kids how to. Every day is a school day with Jin and Portia.

After that I took Jin out for our nearby el cheapo Thai. We got SO MUCH. There was enough left over that we both got very decent meals for tomorrow.

Jin went to bed.

I came back to the computer. Finalizing some Trivia Q&A (more to do though) and blogging.

At about 11.45pm I noticed Miranda had fixed my WordPress so I can still use the Classic Mode Post Creator. PHEW! All the changes are janky as shit and drive me batty.

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Got Momo fed and walked. Today is cool and grey.

Light rail and train to town. On the way I could smell this heavenly fragrance wafting in the morning warmth. Star Jasmine, a whole wall of it.

I’m still not feeling 100% but am seeing the Nolan Origins exhibition. Sydney Nolan is an Aussie artist that turned art on its ear.

Got there early, had a cuppa at Eternity Cafe

Popped into David Jones to see if they had Diorama from the Dioriginals. Nope!

Met Jenny at AGNSW. We had a cuppa and then did the Nolan exhibition. It was huge, and had such wonderful breadth. We learned more about him and his relationships, how they affected his work and how he moved through the world. He was a bit like Van Gogh, didn’t sell well and wasn’t truly recognized till very late in his life.

We had some lunch in the Members Lounge and chattered a lovely extra hour away.

I then had some perfume hunting to do.

First we hit DIOR fashion boutique but the have ZERO Dioriginals. While we were there we visited my mate Nick who is concierge at Hermes. We tried tried a few of the new things but Paddock is still my idea of heaven. We headed for Westfield but they don’t have DIOR Beauty, hit Myer but their selection was paltry.

Finally we found the QVB DIOR Beauty. There was a bit of a kerfuffle with another customer because her SA had to help our SA. Luckily I was in full friendly charm mode and went and smoothed her ruffled feathers. By the time she left with her purchase it was all smiles for everyone. YAY!

FINALLY, I got to try the new Dioriginal Diorama. Jenny and I swooned. Yes, I purchased.

Home. Quick nap.

Off to dinner. GBG Korean BarBQ with Jin, Jenny and Gisella. SO MUCH FOOD! Delicious.

Home.

Walked Momo for a wee.

Jin went to bed so we chatted there for a while and he went off to sleep.

Good news is my throat is already feeling a LOT better. Should have this janky throat knocked over by Monday. PHEW!

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

WOW! How is it SATURDAY already? Momo and I had a ten minute wander in the very cool and cloudy morning. I still smell like Diorama on my left arm and L’Heure Bleu 2026 on my right. Nearly 20 hours later.

I’ve made a 1.5l teapot of citrus, ginger, chili, garlic, bay, black tea. It really does soothe the throat.

In the office/perfume room writing Trivia Jackpots and Runs.

Woo Hoo! TRIVIA done and dusted. Monday I’ll send out all the sets.

Reheated some Thai. delicious.

Jin came home, he’s bushed. He hit the couch and was snoring in seconds.

I came in and faffed around the computer.

Went to the supermarket to grab tomorrow’s lunch.

Home. Blogging.

Nap.

Jin and I met Kath at our fave All You Can Eat in 90 minutes Japanese A La Carte. It Wass very delicious and loads of hefty chat.

 

Home and Jin wanted to wear my Mum’s Aquamarine on his necklace. Cool. So I gave it to him for our 15th Anniversary a couple of weeks early. It is now hanging proudly around his neck.

I have a million things to do but am just too lazy.

Watching Unforgettable on Netflix, hanging with Momo.
