Hi APJ,

A SOTD (Scent Of The Day) thread is a really good conversation generator. The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc. and how it makes you feel and/or anything else about it that tickles your fancy.

You can also comment on everyone else choices too. It’s great to tell someone how much you love their choice, ask for more info about it, the house or perfumer. There’s someone here from around the world 24/7 and perfume people love to chat.

Hi there APJ lovers,

We are back from the dead. Welcome to the New APJ!

Welcome Back APJ

We are finally back in business. Thank you to the people who have worked and helped and recreated this wonderful meeting place for fumies, fragrance lovers and perfumistas from around the world. Belinda,  Alex and Undina (from Undina’s Looking Glass) all gave time, insight, knowledge and muscle to get us back. Thank you.

It will take some time to get back into our groove and we hope you will bear with us as we implement some change.

Please tell everyone you know that APJ is up again because we lost all our Followers and Subscribers in the hack & changeover. We are really starting again from scratch.

So yes, we will be back to the perfumed chatter ASAP.

Every Saturday we have a Question, an idea purloined from Olfactoria’s Travels. Everyone gets to chime in with an answer, chat with other responders and it is a fun event each week. Taking sides never means taking offence and everyone keeps it respectful and light, even though we can sometimes trawl the depths.

The idea is you’ll see it on the weekend or chime in through the week. Hopefully you will come back and see if anyone has responded to your comment and you can reply to them.

Hi there Fashion Fragrances,

Dropped by CHANEL yesterday and did some spritzing of the EdPs. It inspired me to do some catching up on their CHANEL F/W 2018 fashion today. Here’s a best of quick trip down the styles and accessories that made waves.

CHANEL F/W 2018 Australian Perfume Junkies

I would like to say that their cutting down 200+ year old trees to host this parade makes me grumpy. Having done it though they make the simple wild woods look as Disney as CHANEL only can. I love seeing all the cool celebs chattering and watching this completely OTT event in the woods. The juxtaposition is clever.

Though the brand is not doing outrageous, challenging or ground breaking fragrances it is making wearable and comfortable scents just a cut above the designer and much of the niche.
