Hello APJ Crew,
I know! This is way out of us plebeian income earners. Sometimes it’s nice to know not that you could have something but that there is a space in our world for such precious and beautiful artisanal work. Especially lovely when it comes from such a behemoth as CHANEL
Luxury-Insider says: “Mademoiselle Privé” watch, Coromandel dial in Grand Feu enamel. 18k white gold case, 594 snow-set dimonds (2.4 carats). Black alligator strap. Self-winding mechanical movement, 42-hour power reserve
Please enjoy the creation of wearable fashion art.

To see great artisans at work this close is a priveledge. And snow-set diamonds… gorgeous!

Oh yes. Snow Set Diamonds are pretty damn special. To be honest I wouldn’t mind if they were Snow Set Diamante.

Incredible isn’t it. I get lost in the creation and my mind has been whirling since I first saw it.

Fortunately I can appreciate this beauty without having to possess it (and that’s OK)! The enameling is exquisite too. Thank you, Portia.

You are welcome Azar. How interesting that they have to take bites out of the metal so the enamel will hold.

I know Sheila,
I seems to come to us from another era. Back when that kind of attention to detail was the norm. Long gone days.

I don’t even want to ask how much a watch like that costs…
Beautiful!

Yes, I think we will have to make do with the video Ines. I probably wouldn’t want something worth that much in my home anyway. It would sit in a vault unloved, or maybe I’d frame it as a piece of art, which I think it is.

Hi Portia,
Did you see the Dior watch with feathers from last year?
It was a touchstone for me.
2014 is snow-set.

My favourite DIOR watch from 2013 was the white porcelain with opal slivers inside the watchface that created new patterns with every move you made.
So far beyond fabulous.

Didn’t see that one — sounds extraordinary. When I get another ketchup afternoon, I’ll look for it.
