Hi there Vintage Mavins,
I write often about the amazing gems that Michael Edwards, of Fragrances Of The World fame, gave me in his mammoth fragrance clean out. There are still dozens left for me to introduce you to. Today I’m taking you back to 1956
Fille d`Eve by Nina Ricci 1956
Fille d`Eve by Michael Hy + Jacques Bercia

Parfumo gives these featured accords in one line:
Bergamot, Oakmoss, Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose
On first spritz the words that jump into my head are sweet, soft, lavish, elegant, fluffy and feminine. Fille d`Eve is all about the moss and some whispered animal, everything else is just to it dress up.
In my mind’s eye I see this sensually rumpled young woman, probably awaking in the late morning on a weekend after a fun night out or an athletic bout of lovemaking. She is deliciously and deliriously sated for fun and has slept eight hours straight, now she lies in bed not quite asleep and enjoys the warmth under the doona and lets her mind wander freely.

My bottle of Fille d`Eve seems to be 100% perfect and I really want to share my luckiness with you so jump down to the GIVEAWAY.

I follow by email and my favorite vintage frags are Chanel no 5 (the hubby LOVES it- I have to be careful when I wear it. LOL.) and Mitsouko EDT which I’m wearing today. It suits my chemistry. My best friend smells amazing in vintage Climat by Lancôme. It smells hideous on me.

Late morning rumpled wakeup? I could tell you about those but then I would have to kill you.
Better that you know about my vintage Guerlain addiction, actually enabled by my husband who likes to troll ebay. I love L’Heure Bleue and Vol de Nuit. I feel so grown up and womanly in these!
Oh and follow by email…got distracted!

I follow by email, and my favorite vintage is Fracas. I love a bunch of vintage Guerlains, too, but they don’t love me–straight to powder in less than 15 minutes (except for “vintage” Samsara, which I also adore).

Love vintage! My favorite of the moment is Jean Patou’s Chaldee. Yummy. I follow by email.

I follow via email, and my favourite vintage I’ve come across is actually the relatively young Dior ‘Fahrenheit’. Love me some oily, fumey goodness. 😀

I would love to smell Fille d’Eve!! I follow by email and one of my favourite vintage fragrances is Vacances by Patou. Green hyacinth heaven 🙂 I managed to track down a bottle of the newly re-issued version, and I’m eagerly awaiting its arrival from overseas!

Hi Portia,
I follow by e-mail. Brad totally rocks his vintage, original formula Devin. I keep him stocked with back-ups from ebay 🙂

I follow by email, and I learned a new word today–doona! I guess it’s akin to a duvet. I’ve got a lot of vintage faves, but one I’m enjoying lately is the original Jean-Louis Scherrer–oak moss heaven. Thanks for this fabulous-sounding draw.

And I LOVE Fille d’Eve. A friend shared a bit with me. Skankilicious. I have so many vintage favorites that I remember from my salad days—Jolie Madame, Vent Vert, Madame Rochas (called by two smartypants college girls Madame Roaches) but I’d have to say my ultimate vintage favorite, a long-lost love, is Calèche parfum.

Thanks for this lovely giveaway. I follow by email. My fave vintage frags are Chanel No. 5 even though it turns to powder immediately on me; Rochas Femme; Maja by Myrurgia because my mom wore it; and vintage Charlie, the scent of my young adulthood. Wafting on a cloud of memories right now!
Much aloha,
Fifi

My late morning rumpled wake ups were never very glamorous. 😀 More like ‘I need a taxi’. It would’ve been nice to wake up drenched in Chanel No 5 with some gorgeous actor for a change. A girl can dream! Lovely giveaway Portia, I follow by email.

In general, I am not very attractive first thing in the morning 🙂 However, I am sure there are plenty of other people out there who have this special skill! I don’t actually know anyone personally who wears vintage. I hope to meet someone like that soon though! It is a perfume type that I have yet to fully explore. Thank you, and I follow by email.

I follow by email and sadly the only vintage I own and is my favourite is YSL Opium and that’s because I stole it from my mother lol… I’d love to try more vintages but unfortunately my budget doesn’t allow it.

Following via bloglovin. And also via email notification. I do not have any vintage version of fragrance but I have Mitsouko EdT in my small collection and it has a real vintage feel. And I like it very much. I ve never heard about Fille d Eve but would be happy to have opportunity to try it. Thanks

I follow via email! APJ is my favorite dose of in-box fun. And my favorite older fragrance comes from a bottle of 1970s L’Air du Temps. The bottle isn’t mine, but I have visiting/spritzing privileges I can indulge in from time to time.

I follow via email, and my favourite vintage frag (of those I’ve been lucky enough to try) is Arpege by Lanvin.
