Scent Diary: 6.4-12.4.2026

Monday

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes. I like the way it starts my day.

  • Don’t Touch the Phone
  • Get Sunlight in My Eyes
  • Drink Water
  • Move Body 3 Minutes
  • Set One Intention
  • Avoid Negative Input (TV, Socials, Arguments)
  • One Small Win

Put the overnight washing load on the line. New one on. Jin is already on the couch with the TV, very happy bloke. Made cuppa.

Juliette Has A Gun Gentlewoman. Fresh for starting the week.

Caught up with computer stuff. Trivia Q&A.

Jin and I had Chinese reheats for lunch.

Saw this on the Greenpeace FB page. I agree. So much.

Finished writing Trivia Q&A

Started getting my onboarding done for the new gig this week but somehow I stuffed it all up. GAH! One thing I’m bloody terrible at is computers, forms, organising anything that takes paperwork. I’m going to call the manager tomorrow.

Jin’s team played today so he and his BFF Matt went and watched. They have season tickets and LOVE their team Parramatta Eels. Sadly, though they were offered ample opportunities the win slipped through their fingers.

Jin wore Terre d’Hermès to the footy. He smelled so good. Went and found my own bottle to take a pic. Sneaky single spritz. MMMMMMM

Terre d'Hermes Scent Diary

I cleaned the house, just very low key dusting and a vacuum. Got all the Trivia Q&A sent to the crew. Watched the end of the footy. It was such a close thing but they lost.

Jin and I watched a little Young Sherlock Holmes. It’s really good.

We both grabbed bits and pieces for our dinners. Nothing lavish. Jin had noodles and I had toast, one with Vegemite/cheese and one Peanut Butter.

Spritzed some CHANEL Jersey EdT and hit the sack. ZZZZZZZZ

Tuesday

Woke up thinking about the new portal for payments I stuffed up yesterday. This is my one big job today and serves as the intention for my Morning Routine: 10 Minutes. A glorious sunshiny morning.

Putting away the Terre d’Hermes my eye caught the dip blue bottle of Hermès Eau de Citron Noir. Smoky citrus and Oudh-ish woods, lightly salted.

Did some cleaning. Just the daily.

Tried to fix this new gig portal problem. Rang the manager, help on its way.

Getting some Trivia ready in advance.

There’s a list of things that MUST BE DONE that I’m ignoring with great fervor.

Fed and walked the dogs in glorious sunshine.

BATH! with my brand new Easter mug from BFF Kath. It’s a Royal Albert, so fine and glamorous.

Chloe Narcisse. Long discontinued. The feral essence of spring bottled.

Chloe Narcisse Scent Diary

Work was fun tonight. I finally got into drag again. It was fabulous and I looked killer but forgot to take pics. SOZ.

Home.

Dogs fed and walked.

TV, computer, reading.

Lalique Ombre Noire from FragranceNet decant.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZs

Wednesday

Woke. Morning Routine: 10 Minutes. Took the dogs for a wee. Today is softly sunshiny and warm but not hot, so far. Autumn weather can be so lovely.

Atelier Cologne Cedre Atlas from a travel this morning. I know tis is not a great favourite of perfumistas but I find it very pretty. Slightly metallic crisp woods.

Cedre Atlas Scent Diary

I’ve had some computer stuff to catch up on; emails, blogs and comments, some Trivia stuff. Very low key but necessary and time consuming.

Inspired by Tom over at Perfume Posse I spritzed Epic Gardenia from Strange Invisible Perfumes. What a perfume.

Epic Gardenia Scent Diary

Doing the ALS: To the Moon and Back podcast today with Lisa. Her infusion ran overtime so we started a bit late. Gave me some time to catch up on other people’s  blog reading.

ALS: To the Moon and Back Scent Diary

Faffed around doing very little. Made some late lunch.

Nap time.

Jin came home, we chatted. He had drama at work and sent his first severely scolding email in his 10 years at the trains. He was both elated and upset. His bosses were behind him while he wrote it. Jin’s scolding is less than a fly bite but he did get his point across.

One squirt of GUERLAIN Shalimar Madagascar. Sha-Lemur

Greystanes Inn was really fun tonight. We were missing some key teams but still the numbers were good, two extra teams joined.

Home.

Fed and walked dogs.

Watched some rubbish TV.

Threw a load of Tea Towels and microfiber cloths in the machine to do overnight.

Little bedtime swipe of CHANEL Coco vintage extrait.

Bed.

Thursday

THURSDAY! Already. WOW! Tempus fugit. Did my Morning Routine: 10 Minutes. Hung the Tea Towels.

Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse

Computer, blogging, commenting, organising for my meeting with the new venue’s accountant to get my portal opened.

Lunch. Sorry I ate 3/4 before remembering to photograph it. Toasted bagel with cheese, onion, tomato and pastrami. YUM!

Paris has taken over Jin’s section of the couch while he’s at work. Yes, that’s Paris dribble on the pillow. He’s nearly 77 years old, we forgive a little drool.

Bathtime.

Wore JHaG Gentlewoman to see the Banksy Exhibition.

WOW! Banksy is so much more than I ever dreamed. While I know a very smell slice of the work, some of the more prevalent or newsworthy pieces, the oeuvre is so broad and deep. His/their dedication and astounding creativity, layered with such a burning desire to get the political work out in some of the world’s scariest places; and to do it with such speed is mind blowing.  The preparation work!
While I admire it all and am in awe of everything done it makes me VERY glad to not have that kind of relentless drive. My comfortable mediocrity is enough.

Here’s the crew,  and some of the works that spoke to me loudly.

Afterwards about half of us peeled off to home and six of us went to my fave Chinese Noodle/Dumpling restaurant. It was fun.

We jumped trains and all headed home.

I dropped Ersilia at hers.

Came home and tried to sleep but my head was full of Banksy. Tossed and turned for an hour or so. Got up and walked the dogs, they loved their 1am adventure. The night was clear, perfect half moon, we just warred a little along our street and back. They did their business, sniffed every blade of grass and tree. We came home and watched the last two eps of Young Sherlock. Very satisfying.

Jin was up at about 3.45am. Always nice to see hime in the morning.

DIOR Granville for bed.

Friday

Slept till 10.30am. Blissful, dead people, dreamless sleep. Woke like coming up from the bottom of a swimming pool. Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Spritzed Tom Ford Bois Pacifique from Surrender To Chance sample. They seem to be sold out of it, damn. Hoping to get another few ml. I know this is hardly ground breaking BUT it does sing to me.

Jin arrived home with PIZZA for lunch, well it was brunch for both of us at 2pm. We are rewatching Schitt’s Creek together. I never watched it all the way through so it’s a bit of a revelation.

We hit the golf shop because Jin’s shoes are not comfortable.

Post office and grocery shopping.

Poor Jin is completely tuckered out today. He’s really drooping. Quiet night home tonight. We watched two games of footy on TV.

Jin went to bed.

Fed and walked the dogs. Very low key walk this evening. Momo’s breathing is getting more labored and she doesn’t like too much exercise some days. They did their business, sniffed stuff. It was enough.

Bubble Bath time.

Onda Voile d’Extrait by Vero Profumo from decant

Saturday

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes. Bit bleary.

Gave dogs a wee.

L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme Solar Lavender. I’m loving how easy but still sophisticated this is.

Met Sue on Parramatta Station and we travelled in to town to see the Ron Mueck exhibition. I’ve been a few times but Sue was yet to see it. This is its last weekend so we had to. It did not disappoint. We also wandered other areas of the gallery.

Then we had lunch in the Members Lounge and headed to Redfern. Jin picked us up when he finished work nearby and drove us back to Parramatta.

Gave the dogs a wee.

Had a nap.

Caron Pour un Homme. Keeping the lavender going but with a sweeter style.

Jin and I met BFF Kath and Tattoo Jin at the Wentworth Park Greyhound Races. It was the biggest prize money race in Australia, the Golden Easter Egg. We ate rubbish food, had some drinks, bet piddly amounts and had a wonderful time.

Kath and Jin basically broke even on the night. Here are Kath’s winnings.

Home. Fed and walked the dogs.

Jin already in bed, said goodnight and he was asleep in moments.

The dogs and I watched some TV. I did some blogging. Read a bit.

For bed some liberal spritzing of Robert Piguet V Intense. I can understand why V Intense doesn’t get much love. It’s a weirdo but not in a boundary pushing unbelievably strange way. Maybe because it goes through a few transformations it becomes undefinable. That fruity opening that skews more pineapple/passionfruit for me than plum/pear. Into a resinous, sheer-patchouli woodiness defies pigeon holing. Really bloody good though.

Sleep.

Sunday

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Jin and the dogs have the couch. There’s a little space for me so I sat with them for a short while but I’m at the computer.

Today is so gloriously sunshiny I got the spirit to spritz Chloe Narcisse. Feeling a little subversive but LOVING the feral bulbous greenery.

We had some lunch. Ham/tomato/sour cream toasted bagels. Very low key but delicious.

Watched some TV.

Jin went to the football.

I faffed around.

Had a hot bubble bath.

Lalique Ombre Noir from FragranceNet decant.

Lockie’s Hotel opening night was very successful. We had 45 players. Everyone ate and drank. It was an excellent time.

Jin, Matt and TinaG came along. They decided to have Hot Chocolates after dinner and though Matt looks like he’s disgusted, he is saying how bloody delicious it is. This photo just caught him at a terrible moment. we all couldn’t stop laughing at how bad the shot is. RThere were much better pics but I HAD to use this.

Even putting this pic up I can hardly type because I’m laughing to tears. O M G! What a shocker.

For bed I’ve swiped some Jean Desprez Bal a Versailles extrait. Old photo, didn’t use the EdC tonight.

OK! So that was my week. What did you all get up to? Did you wear some faves, go do some things, eat, meet or treat? Tell us. I love to read your comments and stories.
