Monday

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

• One thing I’m grateful for.

First thing we took Paris up to the vet. He’s lost a lot of weight this year, nearly 5kgs. Without Xrays we can’t be sure but she thinks it’s cancer eating away his bones. Without a full sedation there’s no way to be sure. She gave us a bunch of pain relief for him and we have brought him home for a week of pampering. Next Monday he’s going to be put down. At 12 years old he probably won’t even survive the Xray drugs. So our beautiful, clever little man gets one week, we get to say goodbye properly and he gets to go with some dignity. We should all be so lucky.

Today was the National seniors group Trivia day and AGM. Sadly, no one wanted to take the President or Vice president roles so the branch will close at the end of the year. Here I am with Jan, one of the committee and Dad’s neighbour.

Afterwards Aunty Ann, Dad and Valda came for lunch with their mate.

Home and finally to Trivia Q&A. Running so behind today.

Jin pulled he dishwasher apart to find out why we get leaks sometimes. He replaced some seriously degraded rubber in the lower door. It was a BIG job, I had to help him lift and hold bits. Fingers crossed.

I did my bloods! This is seriously good progress.

11pm Q&A done, sent, printed and ready to organize tomorrow. We are doing Xmas in July this week because it’s Winter down here and we get to pretend. Some dumb prizes but fun. Best Dressed Human and Best Dressed Table. YAY.

Had a late supper watched some TV and cuddled with Paris.

Fell asleep with him and woke at 2am.

Fed and walked the dogs. The pain killers are doing Paris the world of good.

Tuesday

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

The good news is that Paris appetite is still A OK. Walked the dogs through the beautiful sunshine. Paris is still not putting proper weight on his leg but the pain killers have effected a remarkable improvement. He’s lapping up the extra attention and treats.

Off to the Post Office and our grocery supermarket.

Very hang out with the dogs day. Watched some TV, did some reading.

Jin came home and hit the couch. Dogs were so happy.

Work was fun tonight. We had a Xmas in July theme. A few tables went all out, some fun costumes.

During Trivia Jin sent me this photo of the dogs cuddling. I think Momo knows it’s nearly time for Paris to go.

Home and it’s a bit cold. Heading for some food and the dogs on the couch. Heaven

Wednesday

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Had the most delightful sleep in.

Fed and walked the dogs in the sunshiny day. Paris is 100% uninterested in photos now, he’s having enough trouble just walking around and getting his business done.

Vacuumed the apartment, watered the balcony plants, cleaned the kitchen bench, did a little pot plant gardening.

Miranda came over for some extra admin work. We are trying desperately to get my payments through.

Work was busy, loads of laughs.

Here’s one of my fave crews, 888. They got equal first this week. EXCELLENT!

Ate.

Fed and walked dogs. These pain killers are really helping Paris. He’s moving much better, but still not good.

Started watching Leo Suter in Lynley. Based on the Elizabeth George Inspector Lynley series of novels. A one season 2025 series on BritBox. It’s good, he is dreamy.

Thursday

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Dogs loved their morning walk. The ground was steaming in the bright, warm sunshine. 20°C today! 68f. Very balmy.

Had a quick bubble bath in about 1/3 of the tub. Even so, it was satisfying.

Off to the implant dentist. Thought it was going to be a horror show. NOPE! He injected the infected implant area with antibiotics, gave me a script and told me that should be good till we go to Korea. O M G! Can we talk about relief.

Home and Jin arrived from his golfing. We talked to his parents about implants. They seem very sure that I’m making the right choice to have my teeth done in Busan. It’s reassuring.

Jin’s BFF Matt is unwell so I’m going to the footy with him tonight.

Footy was fun, first half the Eels were killing them. Second half they ran right over us. We met up with Therese and Megan from Greystanes trivia. Such a fun way to watch the footy, with friends.

Friday

Rolled over and slept another hour. Cuddled up under the duvet where it was warm. Heaven.

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Dogs fed and walked. SUNSHINE.

At the computer getting some blog posts organised.

Jin came home.

More faffing around the computer.

Early Korean BarBQ dinner.

Home by 8.30pm. Jin playing video games, me trawling FaceBook and Insta.

Watching crap TV.

Saturday

EARLY Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Hermes Un Jardin Sur La Lagune

Errands to run. Got the Butcher shopping and the tablets for Paris. He’s been given one more week to live. YAY!

Betty came early so we headed off to Westfields together. There were two bracelets being fixed at the jewellers, I had to collect super sale priced Quilt Cover set and we had to do some grocery shopping.

Back home and I used some of the left over cold Russian Potato Salad with baked Ham & Cheese Croissants. Gisella joined us too. It wasn’t a big deal but we enjoyed it and the hanging out together.

Fed and walked the dogs. Beautiful day.

As we were finishing up our wander Jin arrived home.

Gisella has four tickets to see the Sydney Swans V Western Sydney Giants at Olympic Park. Gisella, Jenny, Jin and I all bus and trained it to get there with thousands of sports ball fans.

Secretly, it was so fun. We had very back row seats but the view was amazing. The pies are much better at this stadium than the NRL. YAY! Jin and I nominally go for the Swans and by the end of the third quarter they were ridiculously far in front. We left because I made us a reservation at the Pullman restaurant Bacar, WHY would anyone want to watch more than two hours of football?!?

Bacar was excellent. Phil joined us, so we were 5. Food, staff, ambience all casually refined. There were people in jerseys and people dressed up. We were the happy medium. Such a fun, slightly ra-sha-sha thing to do.

Scotty’s 54th birthday party. Jin and I headed off for the Star Wars/Disco event.He’d gone absolutely all out and it was fabulous. Silent Disco with three streams of music. Bar, Food. Such a lovely set up.

Got home from all that adventuring and annoyingly, we think Jin might have bloody Shingles again.

Packed him off to bed.

Morning Routine: 10 Minutes.

Dogs out for wee. BRISK.

Jin off to the doctor. YES! shingles. Ran around getting him all together medically.

Dropped home.

Off to Kath’s Dad’s Birthday Party. It was just three of us with Red Rooster chicken and sides. Bloody delicious. NO, Dad is not 100. He’s 91 and we didn’t have those numbers.
