Hi there perfumed Peeps,

I like Pierre Guillaume’s fragrances. He has a way with notes that is deft and sophisticated. He somehow even manages to make the ultra sweet feel plush, no mean feat. Considering that Intrigant Patchouli is a 2005 release I am surprised that before I bought this decant at Surrender To Chance that I’d not even heard about it. The patchoulis that have caught my nose and made me put down cash so far have been CHANEL Coromandel and DIOR Patchouli Imperial.

Hey there dear APJ readers! How are you doing?

There comes a time in February when I can start to feel the seasonal changes that are about to come. Let me try to explain. Since November, we leave the house in the dark in the morning. Hi Fumies,

Australia has had a few niche perfume lines. The first I fell in love with was the Tommi Sooni range, which I only bought two of the bottles and now wish I’d bought the range and backups. Goldfield & Banks are named for our historic goldrushes and first European botanist Joseph Banks. Did you know that Australia’s sandalwood (Santalum spitacum) used to be a marker for gold rich areas? Me too. Continue reading

Hi APJ,

I see these SOTD (Scent Of The Day) threads all the time on Facebook and they are really good conversation generators.

SOTD 12 February – 18 February 2018

The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc. Continue reading

Hello lovers of NEW!

There were already rumblings about Atelier Colognes newest frag before it was released. It was the kind of hype I’d not felt about a scent in ages. The using of polar opposite ingredients, breaking with tradition, interesting, exciting, NEW! So obviously as soon as LuckyScent had some, and because it comes in a very freaking sensible 10ml spritz I grabbed one while ordering something else. Continue reading
