Hey APJ,

As you may have read my mate Liam Sardea, who writes for APJ sometimes and has his own blog Olfactics, is now working for Men’s Biz here in Oz curating their fragrance range. One of the big wins he has had is that they now are the Australian retailers of Tauer Perfumes. To celebrate they have sent me a Tauer Sample Pack to give away today.

This week I am dedicating APJ to a GIVEAWAY WEEK! Yes, every day for six out of seven days there will be a 24 hour GIVEAWAY. That’s right, you’ll have 24 hours to get your comment in and then it will be drawn. Enter every day if you like but only one comment per day. Got it?

03 Lonestar Memories: The scent of a lonesome rider, wearing old jeans and leather jacket, after a long day on the horse in the dry woods, preparing his coffee on the open, smoky fire.

05 Incense Extreme: A perfume built around a natural CO2 extract of Boswellia serrata, aka incense; it captures the roughness of the climate of the semi desert where Boswellia trees thrives. It is translucent like the first whiff of incense smoke from Boswellia resin on red gleaming coal. Yet, it is crisp like a night in the desert.

  4. OH MY GOODNESS this is the most exciting of the giveaways this week!!!!! My favorite is also LADDM. Absolutely magnificent. My 0.5 mL sample was used up very, very quickly. I really want to try Incense Rose. Thinking about Tauer is definitely the right pick-me-up after an hour spent reading articles about Donald Drumpf. I follow by e-mail. Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. Wow, I really hope this goes to someone who has yet to try Tauer’s amazing fragrances! Super giveaway. I have tried two of these already so I don’t know if I should enter? I want to recommend Rose Vermielle though -a fun, bright, playful rose that doesn’t get enough attention IMHO.

    Been in the game a long time and the only Tauer fragrance I have smelt is Incense Extreme. Dark and sophisticated. Always regretted not delving deeper into the Tauer range.

    Didn t tried that much from Andy, tried L air Du Desert Marocain Orange Star and Incense Flash from the Tauerville collection, I really like how different those scents are my favourite being L air Du Desert Marocain, love the amber and the spices used in it, looking forward to try more, really nice giveaway btw, good luck everyone 🙂

  12. Wow Portia, you are spoiling us more and more each day 😉 Of the few Tauer perfumes I’ve sampled so far, I like Zeta a lot. I’ve never tried any of Tauer’s roses and they are supposedly among the best…

  16. Tauer doesn’t ship bottles to my country. All the same, I have a FB of Une rose chyprée which I love, but seldom wear. Another lovely creation is Carillion pour une ange (spelling?)which was in the neat sample pack I ordered years ago. The last 3 on your list are among those I would like to sample, along with some of his newer flowery scents. I follow via e-mail.

  21. The only Tauers I’ve tried are the Tauerville Flash scents: Vanilla Flash, Rose Flash, and Incense Flash. I think I like Rose Flash best of the three, but Rose Flash also plays nicely with the other two. I’ve been wanting to try the “regular” Tauers for ages!!

    Liam is very talented, and I know that this occupation is just the beginning of its career connected with fragrances!
    I should repeat – Andy Tauer is one of the perfume gods! So far Une Rose Vermeille is his perfume I feel most related to, though I don’t own it as a full bottle.

  32. My favorite Tauer Perfumes are LDDM and Une Rose de Kandahar though the new release Lonesome Rider is also making inroads. thanks a lot for the generous draw. I am in the U.S.

    P.S. It is funny I have only tried one Tauer in this discovery set and that happens to be one of my favorites.

    My favourite Tauer is Lonestar Memories. For me it is redolent of going bush on a stinking hot day and having an open air BBQ with friends. I wear it in summer rather than winter, for that reason.
