L’Occitane Cedrat

Post by Portia

Hello APJ Fragrant Family,

This week I am dedicating APJ to a GIVEAWAY WEEK! Yes, every day for six out of seven days there will be a 24 hour GIVEAWAY. That’s right, you’ll have 24 hours to get your comment in and then it will be drawn. Enter every day if you like but only one comment per day. Got it?

Cedrat by L`Occitane en Provence 2015

Cedrat L`Occitane FragranticaFragrantica

Fragrantica gives these featured accords:
Top: Citrus notess, cedrat bark, bergamot
Heart: Nutmeg, blue ginger
Base: Cedar, cashmere wood

You may know I’m partial to a bath. Cedrat Shower Gel is one of my go-to bath time bubble and cleansing gels. I was sent one bottle when it was released, bought and used a second and now am going to grab myself a third bottle (only $29/250ml at L’Occitane Australia). The scent is beautiful, it foams excellently, leaves my skin soft and with the merest hint of fresh citrus zing. Perfect as a base because so many fragrances contain a citrus element. I have also used one of the soaps and loved it too.

L'Occitane Cedrat Shower Gel

Cedrat gives me a very fresh burst of citrus and a little of the cedar from my bathing. The EdT is a lot more nuanced and has a lovely spicy woods kick that smells very cologne-ish but lasts longer. A lovely vibrant, energised fragrance that I could imagine becoming a go-to daily scent for work and play. After a couple of hours the citrus has burned off leaving a crisp smoky wood that is a bit like pencil shavings but a little creamier.

L’Occitane Australia has all these beauties

A special thanks to Lesley at L’Occitane Australia for her generosity. XXXXX

  1. Right now I find most invigorating and energising :
    L’Occitane’s Néroli et Orchidée
Eau Aimable from Le Couvent Des Minimes
    Clarins’ Eau Dynamisante
The Body Shop’s Fuji Green Tea Cologne

Thank you for another splendid giveaway, Eau Cedrat is one of my boyfriend’s favorites!

  2. I remember liking O de Lancome not so long ago, really great for summer.
L’Occitane has the Verveine line which is good too.
    Follow by email.

  3. What a great give-away, Portia!
I follow by e-mail and a fragrance that energizes me is the old Coty Les Muses, the 80s’ remake. It puts me in a good mood too!
    Azar xx

  4. You know, I’ve always wondered what citrons taste/smell like. This is silly, because they’re in season right now and if I had braved the crowds, I could’ve picked one up at the market to try it out, but they’re so weird that I didn’t have the courage to do so. So thanks for this draw!

I follow by e-mail. Currently, my most energizing scent is Yves Rocher Fraise Mara des Bois, but that’s partly because I store it in the fridge (the Internet tells me it’s not the most stable of scents). I’m not sure I have too many really energizing scents!

  5. O de Lancôme, most of the Atelier Colognes, Azemour les Orangers, Eau de Colognes, the occasional girly fruity floral or floral aquatic such as Ineke’s Scarlet Larkspur and Acqua di Gio. Apparently I’m in the mood for citrus and breezy stuff because it’s hot here.
I follow via RSS and Bloglovin.

  6. Happy new email subscriber, introduced by my sister, nice to be here!
I always feel the extra energy with the colognes of Le Couvent Des Minimes, especially the Eau Des Minimes.
Wonderful giveaway, I’m a great fun of L’Occitane xx

  7. Definitely anything peppermint! It’s one of the most invigorating, energizing scents for me. There’s a reason why all of my body washes are peppermint – it’s the only thing that actually wakes me up! 🙂 Following via email.

  8. I follow by email. Anything citrus seems to energize I find. Cedar is one of my absolutely favorite notes. Your generosity is and has been amazing. Thanks you so much.

  9. Wow Portia! Great give away!! Follow by email, and for me Cedrat anything is my summer go-to, so Cedrat Enivrant by Atelier is my almost-daily summer dash of zing! Wearing it right now!!! xoxo

  10. Orange Sanguine by Atelier Cologne. I smells so good I could drink it.
Thanks for the generous draw Portia. I follow APJ by email.

  11. Oooh, Spare no expense!
    I follow by email.

A scent that energises, Eau de shalimar (White bottle with blue stopper) really kicks me up, it’s really zesty in the opening.

  12. Hiya everyone, I hope the weekend is a treat wherever you may find yourself, whatever you may do. Thank you to Portia and the APJ crew for creating this fabulous place for fragrance love.

I follow APJ via email and get my energy boost from a little decant of Chanel eau de Cologne and a beloved bottle of Le Couvent des Minimes Eau des Minimes.

  13. A fragrance that absolutely energizes me is the Lemon Verbena from L’Occitane. I use the deodorant and it’s just such a gorgeous pick-me-up before a workout. I follow through email.

  14. This sounds amazing! I have not tried Cedrat, but I love L’Occitane soaps. My top refreshing favorites are Mugler Cologne and O de Lancome, but that’s only the to two. I follow by email. Thank you!

  15. I follow by e mail,Facebook and twitter. My energising fragrance is Estee Lauder’s White Linen Breeze and Clarins Eau Dynamissante

  16. Oohh there are a few actually.. Especially in summer or if I’ve feeling a bit hum ho in the morning, I want something to energise me. I love Byredo Mister Marvelous and Byredo Sunday Colonge, it’s fresh but mister Marvelous has that cedar base and Sunday cologne has the vetiver and oakmoss .. But I find them both refreshing and energising. Also, D&G light blue.. A classic and that citrusy cedar scent is great. I realize I’m on a pattern here with citrus and cedar lol! Surprisingly I haven’t tried Cedrat! I’m curious to try it now.

    Follow by all the above.

  17. The fragrance that energizes me are vintage versions of eau sauvage and acqua di gio..they have some cooling effects which are missing in modern renditions. I follow APJ by email

  18. Hi gorgeous.
Had a busy week and just noticed I missed most of this generous giveaway week. C’est la vie.
I tried Cedrat and I like it a lot. I tried to think of fragrances that energise me but I really couldn’t think of any. I generally find most colognes as refreshing but not necessarily energising. I will have to go with mandarin, peppermint and eucalyptus EO.

    I follow by email.

Thank you for an amazing and generous week.
    XXX… T

  19. I’m allways energized by Hermes Consentré d’Orange Verte. And – surprisingly – by Calligraphy Rose by Aramis. I follow by mail. 😀

  20. Herba Fresca does it for me, I find it really invigorating.

Thanks for this amazing week, Portia, you’re so incredibly good to us all! 🙂

    I follow by email.

  21. via email and Facebook

Energy. Hmm. I try to find fragrances that soothe me. I guess anything citrus energizes me, which may be why I don’t really wear them.
