Afternoon from Europe APJ

I am in the middle of getting ready to go to London for the weekend, taking my daughter along to look after me, you know?  Make sure her mother can cope with getting on the Tube.  Stuff like that.   I am meeting up with a A Bottled Rose and with The Candy Perfume Boy.  I am gonna pick up a vintage N°5 Perfume that Portia sent home with Tara.  I have noticed recently that it does not always get a lot of love from bloggers, but I adore it.  I think the fact that I booked a ticket to England to go pick it up, says how much.  BUT before I go, let me briefly introduce you to the new Geisha Botan from aroma M. Hey Guys

I have not had proper training session at the gym for a couple of weeks, due to a hurt knee and a strained neck.  I am actually in a filthy bad mood because of it,  but no time to really feel properly sorry for myself as the last week was so busy.  This is a fifth Tuesday which is not a normal CQ Tuesday so I will take the liberty of telling you what went down.  You will need to excuse the few dodgy photos.

Hey there APJ Fumeheads

I have just got back from the shop after baking up a few hundred cookies, semi-panicking because I am about to miss my APJ deadline,  happy that the shop didn’t burn down last week.  More of that in a minute.  Hurray!  Autumn, Fall, Herbst, whatever you call it, is finally here.  Although to be honest you would not know it.  It is the middle of October and still hovering around twenty-five degrees.   It is finally  time to change over to a different set of perfumes, and I cannot wait.

Hey Happy Trippers

Perfume is my drug of choice, these days at least.   As I was writing up my recent psychedelic special in Strange Tales Part II,  I got to thinking about what fragrances I consider as trippy.

Do colours smell?  Are they light, or dark, or sparkly?  Do they appear in layers?  Do they move?  Can you taste them?

Hey APJ

I seldom binge watch anything on TV.   I don’t have the attention span, nor the time, and am pretty fussy about what I watch.  Not that I wanna appear as a snotty bitch, I am an EastEnders fan after all.  Still it is autumn and cookie season is in full swing.  I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, which makes it ideal for hammering my way through several hours of TV, as I make and weigh hundreds of dough balls.

Greetings APJ Brats

Although the Sale Gosse was launched in 2017, it is only now that it has become semi-available.  Initially it could only be bought in Paris, and only earlier this year did it become available in some stores, London, Italy, and maybe somewhere in the US?  However you can now purchase it online from Frederic Malle.  I was informed by Malle in the Burlington Arcade, London that it would not be going into every Malle point-of-sale.  Which basically means you would have to buy it blind, and we never do that huh?

Hey APJ Peeps

It is so damn hot here I can hardly think, let alone consider how my new bottle of Chanel N°18 smells.   I had a large decant of the N°18 EdT, and I have enjoyed wearing it off and on over the last four months or so.  And then the “enjoyed” turned into an absolute “I have to have a bottle of this stuff and I know it is not available any more so let’s get the EdP immediately I have heard such good things about it” mode.

Meanwhile, back at the APJ ranch ….

Hey there all you APJ friends,  welcome back to the pleasure dome.

Did you miss us?  I am sure I did a lot of things whilst we were gone, including enjoying not having a deadline to nearly miss every two weeks, but cannot remember what now.   All good things come to an end and I’m back at it, albeit with my very own deadline now.  Portia is running things a little differently,  and it involves me having to be computer literate and learning how to insert pictures into the post all by myself.  I took it for granted that Portia did everything for me, but that vacation is over.  If you find yourself not reading this until Christmas you’ll know I am having issues.  (By the way, http://www.australianperfumejunkiescom is the slightly altered address now, in case you have problems Googling us.)

The Girl with the Armadillo Tattoo

I got my first tattoo to fill in the “no APJ” boredom.  Have wanted one for ages and I finally got around to it.  No surprise for those who know me, that it is an armadillo.  It is the name and the logo of our bike and cookie business.  I chose to have it on my ankle as the middle of my forehead would have been a bit too in your face, no pun intended.  I would have liked it on my arm,  but thought that might be a little too mid-life crisis.  And I love the way it peaks out of my shoe.  I cannot wait to have another one, which I have planned for the end of the summer.  A crown.  I am the Cookie Queen.
