It’s Mood Scent 4 week. WOO HOO! With the first Monday of the month the crew are looking at floral fragrance. It’s a broad and deep selection and winnowing it down to best in show has been  big deal for me. These choices are subject to change, daily. Hey there APJ,

It’s Mood Scent 4 week. WOO HOO! With the first Monday of the dawning of a new decade we thought we might take a little look back at some of our favourite perfumes that haven’t made it this far. Our great loves that have been discontinued. Now I’m also counting reformulations that changed the scent out of recognisable parameters because that fragrance I loved has been killed off just as much. Same outcome, my perfume is dead.

Mood Scent 4: Festive Event Fragrances

Hey there APJ,

It’s Mood Scent 4 week. WOO HOO! Festive Event Fragrances is a ripper idea and very timely too. Already we are in full swing of Office Party, Formal and Silly Season events here in Sydney. From the kids doing their School Dances to Office Xmas Parties, Product Launches, Dinners, Get Togethers and all the madness that hits towards the end of the year. Also, there are the MANY religious observances, almost every crew has something at this time since time long forgotten.

I have tried to steer away from the tropes of the season. Though I love and will wear Nuit de Noel, Exultat, Aromatics Elixir, Sancti and Shalimar at some point during the season I thought you could all do with some different options.

Hey there APJ,

It’s Mood Scent 4 week. I was filled with questions about this particular Mood Scent 4 project. As I’ve never had to “Grow Up” as such my mind is fairly well situated around teen level. My tastes in so many ways reflect this too. So am I remembering my teen years and my fragrant choices then OR am I thinking like a modern teen? It is a conundrum. One of the good things about this crew is that there is little guidance and we all get to give our very personal agenda. So I’m picking five fragrances; some from my own teen years and some that modern teens should be sharing with us..

Hey there APJ,

It’s Mood Scent 4 week. Duvet Day Fragrances? Now my thinking goes straight to lazy day off, wearing your track pants, Uggs and hoodie, loading up the TV with Netflix/Stan/DVDs, having loads of snacks and drinking gallons of Tea/Coffee. All done on the couch or bed and snuggled up under a fluffy down doona. This is my ultimate idea of heaven. If Jin is around the house too then it’s almost certain that we’ll also order PIZZA!

Mood Scent 4: Mid Season Magic

Hey there APJ,

It’s Mood Scent 4 week. This is the first Mood Scent 4 that was my idea. It feels super special for me today. As we both got into Mid Seasons in the Northern Hemisphere and Southern I love that the temps are very similar. Fewer extremes and a much more mild adventure than the summer and winter we are both leaving behind. Mid Seasons are my favourite, so much choice for fragrance because there’s so much variation in weather.  So I’m picking five fragrances that work well for me in both Autumn and Spring.
