Zaha Hadid Architects – City of Dreams Hotel Tower Macau

Hey Y’All,

This is TOTALLY off topic. Here is a short video on how to make almost every other building built before look dated, retro and bland. From the woman who brought you the Cinese Changsha Meixihu International Culture & Arts Centre, the German BMW Central Building, the Taiwanese Guggenheim Museum and MANY others.

Melita points out below that Zaha Hadid also designed the Donna Karan Woman bottle. A lovely piece of art on its own.

Zaha Hadid is the first woman and first Muslim to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Wait till you see the gorgeous Hotel she has designed for Macau.

  1. Thanks for posting this. It’s been ages since I’ve been aware of anything she’s been creating. (I’ve been out of the loop) I can remember how critical some of the professors my friends studied under, were of her work. I think it was because her work is so unique and original and nothing has been done like it before. She is an amazing architect. I’d love to have 1/10 of her creativity and originality.

  2. Very interesting. Like the way she molded the geometric into the organic with openings in the center. The overall design reminds me of the Arc de Triomphe and the central interior of a cathedral. Clearly fits in well with the neighborhood, too.
The last design I saw of her’s was the mobile art space she created with Karl Lagerfeld. A great creator working now! https://www.domusweb.it/en/architecture/2011/05/11/zaha-hadid-s-mobile-art-for-chanel.html
