Japan & Korea Beauty

Hey Hey Gang,

While we were away recently I bought a bunch of stuff in the Korean & Japanese Beauty Departments. One of the excellent things about them is how generous they are with their GWPs and Samples when you shop. Now I rarely do any facial beauty regime except a bottle L’Occitane make-up removing oil alternated with Grape Seed Oil. The rest of my life is soap & water. Yes, I know.

Anyway, I have a shitload of stuff here and instead of letting it sit here unloved I thought I should share the largesse. The companies are Etude House, Skinfood and Shu Uemura. All excellent stuff and you and your skin will thank me. There is also an hermes Monsieur Li Bath Gel Sample and some Guerlain products, including a sample of La Petite Robe Noire. You are going to have a ball with so much stuff to try. There is also a little purse that you can keep your samples safely together in your bag.

  1. Ooooo, another giveaway 😀
I follow via email and I think I will put my precious Sonoma Scent Stuidio samples in the pouch because these beauties are so hard to get Down Under and I just love all the ones I have bought.

I would put SSS Equestrian, Aftelier Amber Tapestry, and Imaginary Authors Cape Heartache in my purse for travel. I might squeeze a mini SL bottle in there too. Thank you for the giveaway! It looks like you had a fabulous time in Japan and Korea! Tokyo was my favorite destination yet by far.

  3. Ooh, the pretties! I would put in anything that would make me feel less of a wreck after a long flight. Something with green tea in it, or anything luxurious by Chanel, as a pick-me-up. Follow by email. 🙂

  5. Fantastic giveaway! I’ve heard so much positive things especially about Korean skin products on blogs but they are absolutely not available around here.
I’d put the seasonal samples I carry in my purses scattered around – ELDO Like That and Afternoon of a Faun and some of the Atelier Colognes.

  6. Cool giveaway – thank you! I follow by email. I’d put a few SL samples in my travel bag, probably Fumerie Turque and Chergui. And maybe something rosy, too, like TF Noir de Noir.

  7. Thanks! Grapeseed oil? That’s great to know. Jojoba makes me break out as does coconut oil. Someone told me to mix pumpkinseed oil with witch hazel. Did that last night and got hives. So, I continue my quest for moisture. 🙂

I put on fragrance in the morning before work then usually dive into my hat box of untested samples and grab one to freshen up in the afternoon if I am wearing something in the morning that is not a 12-hour beast. So, it’s grab bag!

  8. I follow by email. I’d grab a couple, but it would depend on where I was going and what I had planned on doing. Always something by Lutens and I would go from there. Thanks for the giveaway.

  9. How generous! I follow by email and need something to take 15 years off my face. Failing that, I’d like more hair. I have samples galore, and am going through simultaneous phases and samples of incense, Amouage, and Zoology–mixed in with my vast hoard of FB Serge Lutens. The samples I’m carryingg with me are all Amouages, since I’m thinking of yet another Hanukkah/Christmas gift for myself. Right now it’s Lyric, lyric lyric (which I’m not going to get, possibly Interlude). But, I’ve never tried la Petit Robe Noir. Just never got around to it. Thank you for sharing the beauty souvenirs!

  10. What a lovely giveaway, especially as the stress from end of the term grading and upcoming holidays, plus crazy Texas weather, takes a toll on my face. I follow APJ via email. And I’ve been debating the whole travel perfume thing, because I leave next month to go to Florida to meet my new grandson (not here yet but any day now…) This will be a long car ride with my strong scent averse hubby, contact with a newborn, and dealing with my mom, so I need soothing things…Jo Malone Basil and Neroli for sure, and her Wood Sage and Sea Salt (both are nice mixed together as well),and I think Derek Lam’s Something Wild (a nice woodsy vanilla). Also some version of NR For Her. And maybe L’Artisan’s Passage d’Enfer for Christmas itself (frankinsence seems appropriate)… Still pondering here. But definitely that Monsieur Li bath sample if I win – that would be lovely!

Ever since my grandma shared her gift with purchases with me when I was little I’ve Loved getting bags full of samples. And I frequently pack perfume vials in purses and travel toiletry kits. Sometimes I forget that I had and then I get surprised.

One of my all-time favorites is ormonde Jayne woman. L’artisan Safran troublant and tea for two are also mainstays in my travel coin purse of perfumes, and PG iris taizo also.

    Thank you

  17. I love taking a new scent when I travel that will bring back memories from the destination. Last holiday to Sri Lanka was Diptyque Do Son, Bella Freud and 24 Old Bond Street by Atkinsons. Next fantasy trip is Mexico. Thinking Ella Arquiste…
