Hi APJ,

A SOTD (Scent Of The Day) thread is a really good conversation generator. The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc. and how it makes you feel and/or anything else about it that tickles your fancy.

You can also comment on everyone else choices too. It’s great to tell someone how much you love their choice, ask for more info about it, the house or perfumer. There’s someone here from around the world 24/7 and perfume people love to chat.

Saturday Question: What Have You Thunked Lately?

Hello Fellow Fumies,

At APJ we have a Saturday Question. Everyone gets to chime in with an answer, chat with other responders and it’s a fun event each week. Taking sides never means taking offence and everyone keeps it respectful and light, even though we can sometimes trawl the depths.

The idea is you’ll see it on the weekend or chime in through the week. Hopefully you will come back regularly and see if anyone has responded to your comment and you can reply to them. The aim is to generate real conversation and connection even though we are scattered around the globe.

Hey APJ,

My mate Ainslie Walker has started working for the Glasshouse group who are an Australian Candle, Fragrance and Cleanliness crew. They happen to have a luxury line called Circa Home. From the thick waxy cardboard, brightly coloured modern art exterior to the vessels and fragrances themselves they feel and smell like luxurious homewares should. She gave me a bunch to test and I wanted to share some of my findings with you all. Circa Home Soy Wax Candles are handmade in Australia using natural soy wax, high quality fragrant oils and lead-free cotton wicks Continue reading

Heidi Ho APJ folk!

This is my last post for this year and it finds me a little emotional. It has been a hard year in many ways and I am at the very tail end of my 4 year apprenticeship. That time will never repeat itself and things cannot be undone. Nevertheless, I have almost achieved something I never dreamed possible – becoming a qualified diesel mechanic. Continue reading

Seasonal Heys APJ

Yeah well, if you are expecting or hoping for a whole list of fragrances you have come to the wrong blogger.  Don’t get me wrong, I am a hardcore perfume junkie.  I always wear fragrance, I plan what I am going to wear the next day the night before, Scent of the Cookie Run is serious, and I am excited every day to spritz myself.  I have my perfume rituals.  I travel to England just to pick up bottles that cannot be sent.  However, I have very little interest in new stuff any more.  That could be down to the fact that I have easy access to nearly everything and maybe that takes away some of the excitement – or maybe they all suck.  Still, three beautiful perfumes is damn good going.
