Hello Fellow Fumies,
At APJ we have a Saturday Question. Everyone gets to chime in with an answer, chat with other responders and it’s a fun event each week. Taking sides never means taking offence and everyone keeps it respectful and light, even though we can sometimes trawl the depths.
The idea is you’ll see it on the weekend or chime in through the week. Hopefully you will come back regularly and see if anyone has responded to your comment and you can reply to them. The aim is to generate real conversation and connection even though we are scattered around the globe.

Hey there APJ,
You may know that Thursday is my day to post on Perfume Posse. Every week over there I do some kind of fragrance review. As we don’t really do them here on APJ anymore I thought it might be nice to give you a heads up on what’s happening elsewhere.

Hey APJ! How is everyone doing?
It has been busy lately. October was still quite warm and sunny here in Basel. With November, autumn has finally set in with the hills surrounding us finally changing colours.
Every city/country has a scent memory for me. As a child, traveling, I started to notice these scents. For example, Argentina is horses, cows and BBQs. Greece is vegetal, salt from the sea and the smell of sun heated stones. Italy is peach, hay and toasted pine nuts. As an adult lover of scents and perfumes, I am aware of a new city and its smells. My new home city of Basel is currently smelling of roasted chestnuts, spices and wet fallen leaves. So imagine my surprise when I discovered a scent of Scotland.

Hi APJ,
A SOTD (Scent Of The Day) thread is a really good conversation generator. The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc. and how it makes you feel and/or anything else about it that tickles your fancy.
You can also comment on everyone else choices too. It’s great to tell someone how much you love their choice, ask for more info about it, the house or perfumer. There’s someone here from around the world 24/7 and perfume people love to chat.

Hey there APJ Crew,
This week seemed really busy but looks like it was pretty quiet. Weird how that happens. Got some amazing scents on my skin including some brand new testings. Saw a bunch of mates. Hung out with Jin and ate ALL the foods.

Hey there APJ,
One of Jin and my buddies we met through perfume is Tara. Every UK trip we make some Tara time, she came to our wedding here in Sydney and has popped over to meet us a couple of times on continental Europe too. Lately I’ve also been guest posting on her blog A Bottled Rose.

Hello friends, it’s Narth here in a very good mood! I was fortunate this week to try Ruh by Pekji. Pekji is a niche house from Turkey with some exciting fragrances that are now more readily available than in their even more niche past.
Ooo Ruh, what have you done to me.. this jubilant fragrance from Pekji is a joy. A very modern Oriental, it briefly reminded me of the original Badgely Mischka but it’s much more exciting!

Hey there APJ Crew and Friends
“White shirt now red, my bloody nose, Sleeping, you’re on your tippy toes, Creepin’ around like no one knows, Think you’re so criminal …….” Bad Guy. Billie Eilish.
I recently bought a white shirt. Damn expensive, beautiful cotton, no collar. I have wanted one for years but every time I tried one on I looked like death warmed up. White shirt, gray hair. I fell in love with this one particular shirt in the window of a store which was at the time shut, and asked Blondeswunder to go in have look at it for me when it was open. Next thing I knew she called me and said she had bought it and that I owed her money. I love it. And I have to say that a well cut shirt is worth the extra dosh. And as long as I put a ton of slap on and wear a coloured lipstick, I don’t look like the grim reaper.
